The Warren Miller Performing Arts Center invites the community to enjoy the Holiday High School Musical performance of “Estella Scrooge” on Nov. 30 and Dec. 1 at 6:30 p.m. This modern-day retelling of Charles Dickens’ Christmas Carol is a lively, comedic script that is an appropriate kickoff to the holiday season.

In this updated and adapted version, Estella Scrooge is constantly working the phones to maximize profit. While her childhood sweetheart Pip gives his all to a charity house where everyone is welcome, regardless of the ability to pay. When Estella finds that a recent deal makes her owner of Pip’s venture, she swoops in to foreclose and toss everyone out — just in time for Christmas.
Updated characters like Tiny Tammy, a sassy teen version of Tim, and Sissy Jupe, a punk rock guide to Estella’s Christmas dreams, bring a fresh perspective. This show is great for families looking for an après ski, or après turkey celebration.
Tickets available at warrenmillerpac.org or at the door.
