Big Sky Resort opens for the 2014 summer season on Sunday, June 8.
On opening day, all guided activities will be in full swing. This includes the Lone Peak Expedition: Tram to the Top to 11,166 feet of Lone Peak, the Evening Expedition to the top of Andesite Mountain, the Nature and the Adventure Zipline Tours, the high ropes course, and guided hiking and horseback riding.
The Explorer and Swift Current chairlifts will run daily for the Adventure Zipline Tour, beginner mountain bikers and hikers. A new beginner bike trail is slated to open mid-June, and a new hiking trail access will be complete within the summer.
The Basecamp to Yellowstone activity center will operate from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. until June 30, when the hours will expand to 8 p.m. Early summer season chairlift hours will be from 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., June 8-13, and then will run from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. during peak season.
Big Sky Golf Course opened May 23, 2014 and will host the Two Player Spring Draw on Saturday, June 7, 2014.
