The resort will have a delayed opening on Saturday, Jan. 13, according to their website due to cold temperatures, and a warming center with movies and hot cocoa will be available to guests in the Yellowstone Conference Amphitheatre.
Saturday is expected to be the coldest day of the weekend with a high of minus 3 in Big Sky during the day and wind chills reaching minus 40. The NWS notes that temperatures and wind chills to this extreme can cause frostbite within minutes.
