Weather-permitting, the South Entrance of Yellowstone National Park will open at 8 a.m. on Friday, May 10 to public motor vehicle traffic. A May 8 Yellowstone press release reported that four roads are expected to open at the South Entrance.
The roads expected to open are South Entrance to West Thumb, West Thumb to Old Faithful (Craig Pass), West Thumb to Lake Village and Tower-Roosevelt to Tower Fall.
The release urged visitors to check weather conditions on the park’s website due to the possibility of late spring storms.
