Grand Teton National Park had more visitors in September than June, originally one of the park’s busiest months of the year.

So far, the park has seen 21% more visitors than last year, with 3,059,238 visits through September in 2023. Visitors also used trails 4% more than September 2022.

Staff are currently reviewing results from their Visitor Use and Experience study where they received public input about the park. Results will be shared in upcoming months.

As of Nov. 6, many roads and facilities have closed in the park due to the winter season. Park staff advise visitors to bring food, water and extra layers of clothes in anticipation of fewer available amenities. They also advise visitors to check weather and park conditions ahead of their trip through the Teton Conditions page and the Park Roads Conditions page.
