As crews work toward completion of TIGER grant work by the end of summer, drivers will need to plan extra time for travel through Big Sky next week starting Monday, July 15.
According to an email update from project representatives, crews expect to finish grading operations next week, west of the intersection of U.S. Highway 191 and Montana Highway 64 (Lone Mountain Trail).
“While grading operations are underway, drivers can expect single-lane closures, and flagger-controlled traffic. Please plan for extended delays,” the email stated.
Crews will also begin realignment of the shared-use path near Huntley Drive, which will require single-lane closures and flaggers near Big Sky Town Center.
“Please plan for delays,” the email stated.
The email added another statement regarding the mistaken striping along Highway 64.
“The issue has been temporarily addressed and MDT maintenance crews are working to permanently remove the striping in some areas. We appreciate your patience as we work toward a resolution.”
