Pecha Kucha in Bozeman will highlight history, local journalism, homemade guitars

Tonight, Sept. 10 and tomorrow, Sept. 11, the local speaker series Pecha Kucha, will highlight a bit of history, culture and journalism at the Ellen Theater in Bozeman. Speakers include environmental activist Rick Bass, who will talk about the prized Black Ram guitars fashioned from giant spruce; Crystal Alegria, director of Bozeman’s Extreme History Project, who sheds light on the city’s structures, people and commerce 150 years ago; local journalist Bella Butler who will talk about news deserts in Montana and the vital sources of information journalism provides to local communities; and many more.


Doors open at 5:30 p.m., presentations will begin at 6:40 p.m. and the event is emceed by local personality, Missy O’Malley. Tickets are available online or at the door.
