Outlaw Partners teams up with American Avalanche Association

By Kelsey Dzintars Outlaw Partners Creative Director

Outlaw Partners is excited to announce a new marketing contract with the American Avalanche Association that was signed Feb. 2.

AAA is a national nonprofit that promotes and supports professionalism and excellence in avalanche safety, education and research in the U.S.

The 30-year-old, volunteer-run organization is comprised of dedicated professionals engaged in avalanche study, forecasting, control and mitigation. Association members include professional avalanche forecasters, researchers, educators, guides, snow rangers and qualified ski patrollers, technicians and specialists.

AAA provides its members with guidelines and direction for U.S. avalanche education; certifies qualified avalanche instructors; maintains listings of qualified avalanche course providers; provides a central listing for avalanche employment opportunities; offers grants and scholarships for research and education; and maintains the website avalanche.org.

Additionally, they produce and publish “The Avalanche Review,” a quarterly trade and scientific journal addressing advances in forecasting, control techniques, education, and research.

Outlaw Partners signed on to help AAA revamp and enhance its existing brand material, including a logo and website redesign, as well as produce new video content. The rebrand is meant to increase membership and elevate the organization’s existing position as a leading resource in the avalanche industry.

“[We are] looking forward to working with the Outlaw Partners on branding and marketing projects that will ultimately help us be more effective at representing our membership and supporting our mission,” said AAA Executive Director Jaime Musnicki. “Outlaw’s combination of expertise in their field, personal passion for and familiarity with a snowy mountain environment, [and] ability to offer a wide array of services under one roof … make them a great fit for the AAA.”

Outlaw’s expertise is a natural fit for AAA’s needs, according to E.J. Daws, Outlaw Partners’ Director of Sales.

“We are so excited to be partnering with the American Avalanche Association and helping them establish these foundational marketing and branding cornerstones,” Daws said. “As a team, we believe [in] and fully support … an organization like this, and it is now our job to help deliver that message to their followers.”
