BIG SKY – The Outlaw Partners media and marketing company, also publisher of this newspaper, recently added an in-house accountant to its ranks.
Alexis Deaton, who grew up in Bozeman and has lived and worked in Big Sky for 10 years, joined Outlaw Partners on Sept. 29. Having worked in Big Sky Resort’s accounting department and at Big Sky Western Bank for more than a decade, Deaton adds another analytical mind to the company.
“We’re excited to have Alexis a part of the Outlaw team,” said Outlaw Partners COO Megan Paulson. “Her expertise and attention to detail will help elevate our current accounting operations.”
Deaton, 36, will coordinate payroll as well as analyze and monitor Outlaw’s financial portfolio. Deaton says it simply: “I put figures together to see what can be transformed for Outlaw’s continued success and growth.”
In addition to her financial experience, Deaton comes armed with a colorful background. The former KGLT radio DJ hosted “The Coffee Show” while she was studying international business management at Montana State University in the late ‘90s. She says she’s looking forward to the communication between departments and the open layout of Outlaw’s office.
“Everyone on the team is exceptional,” Deaton said. “Being in numbers gets hyper-analytical and it’s fun being around the creative people at Outlaw. They appreciate the Big Sky life and they’re dedicated to their work and the community.”
When she’s not working, skiing, climbing or in yoga class, you can find Deaton hanging with her 20-pound cat, Charlie. “He does not go on any adventures with me,” Deaton says.
