The Extreme History Project opened a new exhibit on Saturday, Feb. 10 called, “Illuminating the Shadowed World of Bozeman’s Historic Red-Light District.” The exhibit is located at 234 East Mendenhall in downtown Bozeman. According to the Extreme History Project, the building was built in 1891 specifically to be a brothel.
According to EHP’s website, the building charts the history of the red-light district in Bozeman from the 1870s to 1918. Exhibit and building tours are offered on Tuesdays at 11 a.m., Wednesdays at 1 p.m. and Saturdays at 1 p.m.
General admission tours are $10, and $8 for seniors and EHP members.
