According to analysis of U.S. Census Bureau Household Pulse Survey data by HelpAdvisor, 24.4% of Americans above the age of 18 have experienced COVID-19 symptoms for three months or longer after a positive test, or, long COVID-19.
Montana ranks second in the U.S. in number of residents who reported long COVID-19 symptoms. According to the study, 33.8% of Montanans who tested positive and responded to the U.S. Census Bureau study reported prolonged COVID-19 symptoms, just behind Oklahoma’s 34.1%. Alabama, Arkansas, North Dakota and Ohio also had rates in the 30s, and Wyoming sees 29.7% of COVID-19 positive testers with prolonged symptoms.
