BIG SKY – The Montana Hope Project will host the first annual Spring Hope charity event on Saturday, May 10 at Rainbow Ranch Lodge, south of Big Sky on Highway 191. All proceeds benefit the Montana Hope Project.
The event will start at 1 p.m. and include food, Lone Peak Brewery beer, wine, and live classic rock by The Fog. There will be a silent auction and raffles for prizes donated by local businesses.
The Montana Hope Project is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that works to grant the wishes of critically ill Montana children. A group of Montana Highway Patrol officers founded the organization in 1984, digging into their own pockets, borrowing a van, and taking a group of kids with life-threatening illnesses and their families on a trip to Glacier National Park.
Today, troopers and volunteers with the Hope Project have granted 368 wishes. Past wishes include trips to Disney World, a trip to see a favorite football team, a horseback ride on a beach, and construction of a backyard playground. The Montana Hope Project is not associated with any national wish-granting organization.
