The legislative interim committee responsible for business, labor, agriculture, and other economic issues will meet June 3 at the State Capitol to determine its plans for the next 15 months for studying licensing boards, a health insurance exchange in Montana, and agriculture commodity insurance options.
The Economic Affairs Interim Committee also will hear from the Montana State Fund regarding workers’ compensation rates adopted by that state agency and will elect its presiding officers for the interim that runs through September 15, 2012.
Members of the Economic Affairs Interim Committee are: Senators Joe Balyeat (R-Bozeman), Tom Facey (D-Missoula), Ed Walker (R-Billings), and Jonathan Windy Boy (D-Box Elder) plus Representatives Tom Berry (R-Roundup), Chuck Hunter (D-Helena), Carolyn Squires (D-Missoula), and Gordon Vance (R-Bozeman).
