BIG SKY – Part of the Jack Creek Preserve Foundation’s mission is to provide educational opportunities to the public. Today it’s breaking ground on a project that will allow it to do just that: a Conservation Education Center on the preserve property.
Located between Big Sky and Ennis, the “Con-Ed Center” will be a place where students, teachers, land managers, scouting groups and visitors can gather, learn and explore. The center will offer exhibits on conservation, habitat protection, wildlife management and the role of hunters as conservationists and will be the trailhead for interpretive nature trails to high alpine habitat, sage meadows and willow creek bottoms.
