In its 10th year, Give Big Gallatin Valley is scheduled for May 2-3, 2024. The 24-hour giving celebration now invites Gallatin County nonprofits to register before the March 15 deadline.
In its nine-year history, Give Big Gallatin Valley has raised over $14.3 million for 425 local nonprofits, making it the largest 24-hour giving day in Montana, according to a Feb. 1 press release from the One Valley Community Foundation, which hosts the event. After engaging 6,650 donors and raising over $2.9 million in 2023, One Valley hopes to raise $3 million of unrestricted funds in 2024.
“What began as a vision of raising $100,000 in 24 hours 10 years ago has evolved into an event eagerly anticipated by our community each year,” Jill Ellwood, One Valley’s nonprofit programming and relations manager, stated in the release. “Witnessing the power of collective action and its profound impact on our local nonprofits is truly inspiring.”
During the May event, community members from Bozeman to West Yellowstone, including Big Sky, are invited to support nonprofits across the county, which face increasing service demands and funding needs, according to the release.
“As a 100% volunteer-run organization, Give Big is crucial for us to sustain our mission,” Stevie Croisant, founder and board president of nonprofit We are HER, stated in the release. “During Give Big, we raise 40% of our annual operating budget. We’re grateful to One Valley Community Foundation for making this community-wide fundraiser possible.”
The 2024 event is sponsored by the Yellowstone Club Community Foundation. Nonprofits of all sizes are eligible to register, and One Valley offers resources including educational webinars and promotional materials to assist nonprofits in maximizing their impact during the event.
