Following the recent resignation of Gallatin County Auditor Erin Cox, the county announced it has hired a new staff member for this position.
According to an Aug. 21 Gallatin County press release, Jill Therrien was unanimously selected by county commissioners following an application process, and was officially sworn into office by Justice of the Peace Bryan Adams on Aug. 20.
Therrien has worked for Gallatin County for 15 years in the finance department where she worked as a controller, lead accountant and budget assistant. She holds a Master’s of Professional Accountancy and a Bachelor of Arts in photography, both from Montana State University.
“I’m excited and honored to take on this position,” Therrien stated in the release. “I see it as an excellent opportunity to apply my skills and experience in service to the citizens and employees of Gallatin County.”
