Healthy Gallatin announced the temporary closure of the Gallatin County annex building, located at 215 W. Mendenhall St. in Bozeman, due to structural issues that deemed it unsafe after a roof truss was compromised.

The building holds offices for employees from the Gallatin City-County Health Department, including the Bozeman Women, Infants and Children office and the Gallatin County Local Water Quality District.

To ensure the safety of employees and the public, the building will remain unoccupied until further structural analysis is completed, stated a press release from Healthy Gallatin. The release advised everyone to avoid the premises while the county continues to evaluate the situation.

“The safety and wellbeing of our employees and the public is our top priority,” stated Lori
Christenson, Gallatin City-County health officer, in the press release. “Structural engineers are currently reviewing the damage, and we will provide more information as soon as it becomes available. Employees have temporarily relocated to other county office buildings or are working offsite as the building’s safety is being assessed. We are committed to maintaining uninterrupted services.”
