On Friday night, the Gallatin River went up over 1000 cfs, and on Saturday side creeks flooded. With the rain and lack of overnight freezing temperatures, this was the first of many floods.
Highway 191 was closed to through traffic at Greek Creek, and this afternoon a line of 20 cars waited to drive through 3-4″ of fast-moving water. A road crew worked to keep the raging creek from taking the highway out.
