A nutritional support program has opened in Belgrade to serve families in Belgrade, Three Forks, Clarkston and Manhattan, according to a July 16 press release from the Gallatin City-County Health Department. The Gallatin Women, Infants and Children program run by the health department supports low-income families with food access and nutritional needs. The new location in the Heck/Quaw building at 91 W Southview Ave., Entrance 8, allows for more ease in appointments and broader support with a location closer to families in need.
“We are very excited about a few updates in recent months for the Gallatin WIC Program,” stated Amie Gatterdam, Maternal Child Health Services Group Manager at the GCCHD. “These updates include an online application form, hybrid meeting availability, and now a new – more convenient – location for many families.”
The space for the center was made possible through a partnership with Belgrade School District. Anyone who is caring for children up to the age of five, or is pregnant, is eligible for the services provided by WIC and can apply online.
