Join us September 20-22 to volunteer to clean up our community watershed. Sign-up as a team or individually and clean up along the Gallatin River and throughout the Big Sky community!
The Gallatin River Cleanup aims to pick up trash along highway 191 and in the Big Sky community. Removing trash from rivers and streams and the surrounding area positively impacts water quality, wildlife habitat, and soil quality, as well as our downstream neighbors. The Cleanup is in partnership with the Gallatin Watershed Council (GWC). If you would like to volunteer in the lower Gallatin watershed, please contact Tess Parker at tess@gallatinwatershedcouncil.org to volunteer with GWC.
Thank you for helping us keep our rivers clean! Shortly after filling out this form, you will be contacted by conservation@gallatinrivertaskforce.org to set up your pickup location and waiver information. Please check your spam email.
Prizes!
Volunteer/team with the strangest item picked up will have the opportunity to win a prize! Additionally, all volunteers will be entered into a raffle for a prize basket worth $1,000 as a part of our No Empty Nets partnership!
Volunteers will meet at the Big Sky Community Park to pick up clean up supplies and check in anytime between 9am-5pm.
If you have questions in the meantime contact Lauren at conservation@gallatinrivertaskforce.org.
