On the Saturday mornings of April 13, 20 and 27, author Heather White will lead a three-part series on implementing a daily, effective practice to benefit the environment.
The series honors Earth Day and is free and open to the public. Each session will begin at 10:15 a.m. in the Bozeman Public Library’s Cottonwood room. In addition, the City of Bozeman will host its annual CleanUp Week from April 20 to 27, celebrating Earth Day.
Author Heather White, a Bozeman resident, is a nationally recognized conservation and environmental policy expert and a frequent spokesperson in national media on topics including climate, energy and conservation, according to an April 1 press release from the City of Bozeman. She wrote “One Green Thing: Discover Your Hidden Power to Help Save the Planet,” which was selected for Silicon Valley Reads 2024.
“In a time when news about the environment seems to be going in one dire direction, this is an opportunity for residents to learn about what’s really happening and how they can provide support,” Beth Boyson, adult programming and outreach librarian, stated in the release.
White has recently spoken at the Clinton Global Initiative, TedXBoston, UTA, AllTech Corporation, Hearst Publications, VF Corporation, Arizona State University, Warner Music Group, the Nashville Bar Association, Amazon, TIAA and at bookstores across the country, according to the release.
