BIG SKY– Big Sky Resort is again offering lift-served downhill mountain biking on the flanks of Lone Mountain via the Swift Current chairlift this summer. With more than 15 trails and more than 1,647 vertical feet, the trails range from beginner to expert.
“We’ve had people requesting we open the trails back up on Lone Peak for years,” said Big Sky Resort retail manager Dylan Hall. “With Swift Current running this summer for the new Lone Peak Expedition: Tram to the Top, it’s the perfect time to make the transition.”
“It’s a really exciting opportunity for riders of all levels,” Hall added. “There are no lift-served trails of this caliber anywhere else.”
Two of Big Sky Resort’s mountain bike trails are slated to open Monday, June 18 with the rest to follow as the warmer weather melts off the snow, Hall said. Andesite Mountain off the Ram Charger lift will not be opening this year.
