Do you want to sit on the Big Sky Resort Tax Board?

In November 2013, three seats on the Resort Tax Board will be on the ballot.

The first is Les Loble’s who is concluding his second, four-year term. Also on the ballot is Ginna Hermann, who is concluding her first, four-year term. In addition, Jeff Strickler must run in November 2013 to be elected to complete the second half of his first, four-year term.

The law states that a candidate must reside in the Big Sky Resort Area District, not just be a landowner.

The two-page form requires a minimum of five signatures from registered voters who reside in the Big Sky Resort Area District.

Submit the form to the Gallatin County Election Office, 311 W. Main Room 210, Bozeman. The form must be signed in front of the deputy; if the form is mailed, the candidate’s signature must be notarized.

Candidate filing started at 8 a.m., June 24 and closes at 5 p.m., Aug. 22.
