BOZEMAN – Montana high school and college students are invited to showcase their photography talent by submitting themed photos to be highlighted at the 2012 Student Summit for Sustainability and the Environment. The photograph theme categories are “Mother Earth” and “Sustainability in Practice.”
The photos will be viewed by high school students and organizations; university organizations and professors; green businesses and community organizations and individuals who are interested in sustainability and the environment.
The Gateway Youth Group spearheads the summit, under the leadership of MSU adjunct professor, Martha Joh Reeder-Kearns. As part of the Gallatin Earth Celebration, the event intended to inform, inspire and empower young people by creating a dialogue between youth, educators, businesses, political leaders and community organizations.
Interested photographers may submit up to four black and white or color photographs, two per category. Submission forms are required and can be requested by emailing mjreeder@hotmail.com. Photo submissions must be received no later than April 6.
The event will be April 20 (8:45 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.) at MSU’s Procrastinator Theatre.
