On Friday, Aug. 9 at 7:30 p.m., 30 minutes before the scheduled start of former President Donald Trump’s rally in Bozeman, Montana gubernatorial candidate Ryan Busse and his wife, Sara, will host a separate rally in Bozeman at the Rialto on Main Street.
Busse, a democrat running against Gov. Greg Gianforte, announced his “Montana Freedom Rally” on Aug. 7. The event is free and open to the public, presented by the Montana Democratic Party, with registration encouraged. It will include live music from Shakewell, a Missoula-based jam band blending pop and funk.
A press release from Busse’s campaign stated that he “will fire up support for reproductive rights, privacy and freedom,” and noted his former role as a firearms executive.
“Unpopular Governor Greg Gianforte is a staunch anti-choice candidate who proudly supports controversial new language in the Montana GOP’s platform to ban abortion and outlaw IVF treatment,” the press release stated.
The event is scheduled to run until 10:30 p.m.
