Fundraising event kicks off season for Big Sky’s competitive youth skiers

Since 1993, the Big Sky Ski Education Foundation has hosted an annual Ski Ball. This year, the nonprofit ski club will hold the event on Dec. 7 at Big Sky Resort. With dancing and live music by The Dirty Shame, a plated dinner, a live auction and cocktail attire as the dress code, the Ski Ball is a night when families and community members support programming for local competitive skiers while celebrating another winter season in Big Sky in a more formal and lively setting.
The auction will include many items from local businesses, restaurants, outdoor gear and various travel opportunities. New this year features the Stay and Play package, in which attendees who purchase a Stay and Play ticket will receive a discount code to book a hotel room and lift tickets at Big Sky Resort for a highly discounted rate.
Proceeds from the Ski Ball will support programming, travel, equipment and coaching for youth alpine, freeride and Nordic skiers pursuing national and global competition levels. Families are also invited to attend and complimentary babysitting will be offered during the event.
