White Sulphur Springs will play host to the third annual Red Ants Pants Music Festival July 25-28. The event brings a variety of regionally and nationally known musicians to a central Montana cow pasture.
Country legend Merle Haggard will headline the main stage. Other acts include Garage rockers the Heartless Bastards, the harmonic vocal sound of The Wailin’ Jennys and Canadian country musician Corb Lund on the main stage.
The side stage will spotlight regional artists, including 17-year-old country singer-songwriter Mariah Page, Missoula’s The Hasslers and nearby Showdown Ski Area darlings the We Ski Cousins.
The festival has gained much attention in its short life. According to Operations Manager Allie Olson, 8,900 came to the fest last year.
“It’s definitely a homegrown event and very neighborly,” Olson said. “It’s one of the most authentic Montana experiences you can have.”
Tickets and campsites are available for the festival. Find out more at redantspantsmusicfestival.com. -MH
