Manhattan residents Mark and Morgan Braaksma are seeking financial assistance after suffering a helicopter crash that resulted in hospital care and injuries. Mark Braaksma is the owner of Rocky Mountain Rotors, a Gallatin Valley-based company that provides helicopter charters, tours, real estate survey flights and repair services.
Mark’s niece, Kaycie Braaksma started the GoFundMe for her relatives. She wrote in the description that Avery suffered a compression fracture and will wear a back brace for 12 weeks. Mark remains in the hospital with a fractured vertebrae. Morgan has undergone 11-hour surgery, according to the GoFundMe description, with a broken pelvis, sacrum and fractured vertebrae.
“This GoFundMe page was created with the hope we can all come together to ease some of the stress for Mark & Morgan with medical bills and being out of work,” the description states.
The fundraising goal for the GoFundMe is $100,000 and stands at $24,415 as of 11:30 p.m. on Sept. 24.
