Friends of Hyalite, the nonprofit partner of the Custer Gallatin National Forest, is hosting their bi-annual clean up day in Hyalite Canyon tomorrow, May 18 from noon to 3 p.m.

Hyalite Canyon is the most heavily recreated National Forest site in Montana, drawing hikers, boaters and anglers in the summer and ice climbers, skiers, snowshoers and ice fishers in the winter. Friends of Hyalite raises money to keep the road plowed in the winter months, and hosts clean up days in the fall and spring, and stewardship nights throughout the summer to help clean up trash, fix signage, take down old barbed wire fencing and more projects as needed.

Registration and more information for clean up day is available online.
