Bridger Bowl’s anniversary month will bring skiers from all over Montana and celebrate its 69th year of operation.

The ski area started the new year off with an exciting announcement for patient skiers and riders: season pass holders at closed Montana mountains can visit for free three times throughout January. Season pass holders at Blacktail Mountain, Teton Pass Ski Area, Maverick Mountain and Turner Mountain, all of which are closed until snow rolls around, can use three free lift tickets in January, excluding Jan. 15.

Skiers will need to bring their season pass and a valid ID to redeem.

Celebrating 69th birthday with $30 full day tickets

On Jan. 12, carpools of three or more arriving in Bridger Bowl are eligible for $30 lift tickets at Bridger Bowl to celebrate the ski area’s 69th birthday. There will also be a 15% discount on food for season pass holders who come to the area in carpools and discounted ski lessons throughout the day.

Jim Bean will play music at the all-day celebration, including birthday cake as supplies last.

Bridger Bowl opened in January 1955 with its original platter rope-tow lift and grew in the 1950s, adding an upper platter lift and replacing the lower with a T-bar. In 1971, the association that opened the area to the public named itself the Bridger Bowl Association.

Bridger Bowl now hosts 2,500 acres of skiing and eight chairlifts, according to the Bridger Bowl website.
