Between the Shelves

Have you ever listened to an audio book? If not, make it one of your goals for this summer. The Big Sky Community Library has more than 500 titles and genres to choose from. With summer vacations just around the corner, why not check out an audio book to pass the time on that long road trip? There are many wonderful benefits from listening to a book rather than reading one.
First of all, they are highly entertaining! Many audio book readers present the text using different character voices and you’ll soon find yourself more engaged in a book than if you were reading it yourself. Audio books can also make boring tasks way more interesting. When you think of all the mindless tasks we do throughout a week, why not make it more fun and listen to an audiobook? You’ll forget to be bored.
Finally, it’s a creative way to have more than one person “read” a book simultaneously, turning your listening experience into a mini book club, an interesting book discussion and a shared adventure.
