ALTA, WYO. – Labor Day weekend marks the fifth year of the Wydaho Rendezvous Mountain Bike Festival, located at Grand Targhee Resort and throughout Teton Valley, Wyo.
Held Aug. 29 through Sept. 1, the festival brings riders of all levels together with daily group rides, demos, races and clinics. The Westwater Outlaws will perform live music along with Jonathan Warren and the Billygoats, and festivities will include a beer garden.
The festival is also one of the biggest fundraisers for Teton Valley Trails and Pathways, a nonprofit that brings together citizens, businesses, and local governments to expand the valley’s opportunities for outdoor recreation and promoting healthy mountain lifestyles.
“We started with the idea that we wanted to have a fundraiser that highlighted our great trails and provided an economic stimulus for our community,” said Tim Adams, executive director of TVTAP. “In five years, our small local gathering has grown into an event that draws riders from across the United States.”
One of mountain biking’s best kept secrets, the Teton Valley has hundreds of miles of singletrack, downhill trails, and scenic views.
Festival registration includes a weekend chairlift pass, raffle tickets, unlimited 2015 bike demos, discounts on entries for races, unlimited group rides and a goodie bag filled with swag. Camping passes for festival attendees are available online or upon arrival.
